Recommended 2023-2025 Program

State League’s Board of Directors are tasked with weighing various recommendations from local Leagues and deciding which issues to recommend for a State Program. (NOTE: A revised recommended/on-recommended document has been uploaded on May 22 due to previously released requested submittal changes )


 Recommended 2023-2024 Budgets

The Bylaws Committee has recommended that a change in fiscal year be adopted to a new year beginning on July 1, 2023. If this change is approved at Convention, then different budget periods will be required.

The Budget Committee has submitted two budget packets to Convention delegates, this report with no change in fiscal year and a second packet with the three-month and twelve-month budgets.

LWVFL extends a special thanks to the Budget Committee which was made up of , Mark Songer, Monica Elliott, Denise Elliot, and Denise McLaughlin.


Recommended Changes to LWVFL Bylaws

The League of Women Voters of Florida’s bylaws may be amended at Convention by a two-thirds vote of the delegates.

A Bylaws Committee has formally proposed changes to the bylaws, which were subsequently approved and recommended for adoption by the Board of Directors.

All changes to these bylaws for the League of Women Voters of Florida, Inc. are also proposed for adoption for the League of Women Voters of Florida Education Fund.

LWVFL extends a special thanks to the Bylaws Committee which was made up of Pat Drago, Mark Songer, Charlotte Nycklemoe and Debra (Debbie) Chandler.

The League of Women Voters of Florida encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League of Women Voters of Florida Education Fund works to register voters, provide voters with election information through voter guides as well as candidate forums and debates.
