Irene is a member of the League of Women Voters Palm Beach County (LWVPBC). Irene currently chairs the League of Women Voters Florida (LWVFL) Reinstatement Strategic Planning Steering Committee. Irene is active with the League Leadership program for both LWVFL and LWVPBC. She also leads the LWVPBC Strategic Planning initiatives in LWVPBC.

Prior to retiring, Irene was Chief Operations Officer for International Division, at Prudential Financial. As an International Executive, Irene has diversified experience in leading and implementing critical global business initiatives. She has extensive background in executive management, strategic planning and leading high performing global teams.

During her almost 30 year tenure with Prudential Financial, her international experience took her to Tokyo, South Korea, London, Shanghai, Poland, and Mexico. Living and working in many different countries allowed Irene to broaden her perspectives on the different business cultural models. Irene consulted major U.S. companies and government agencies, including presenting to Year 2000 U.S.
Senate Hearing led by Senator Lugar and to the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee. Irene also serves as President of the Florida Atlantic University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Advisory Board in Jupiter, Florida and is an ex-officio member of the Florida Atlantic University Foundation Board.

Irene enjoys taking walks, playing golf, travel and photography.
