Trish Neely is the former Chief Compliance Officer, Senior Vice President and
Corporate Secretary for FBMC Benefits Management, a large independent insurance broker
and benefits manager domiciled in Tallahassee, Florida. She retired in 2017 after a 30-year
career in varied management and executive leadership positions and currently works as a part-
She holds insurance licenses through the States of Florida, Nevada, Kansas, Missouri, and
California, an industry certification in Health Care Reform and has taught Flexible
Compensation rules and regulations as a certified industry instructor. She has delivered
various multi-media presentations on a wide variety of topics associated with employee benefits,
including legal and regulatory compliance, and ethical behavior. An accomplished researcher
and writer, a quarterly compliance newsletter she authored for FBMC won the prestigious EBN
(Employee Benefit News) i-COMM Award in 2009 for Best Training Program and again in 2012
for Best Print or Online Employee Newsletter; proposals she has written in response to
Requests for Proposal (RFP) in 2017 and 2018 have been winning bids. She is trained as a
Florida Governor’s Sterling Examiner and Sterling Judge; she also serves as an investigator on
the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the Second Circuit.
Trish is an alumnus of the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Tallahassee; LT
Class 29. She has volunteered for programs offered through Youth Leadership Tallahassee and
has taught financial literacy to Leon County students through Junior Achievement USA.
Born and raised in Ohio, she has lived in Tallahassee since 1985. She is a patron of local arts
and supporter of Florida State University’s musical and theatre programs and Theatre
Tallahassee. She is currently Board Chair and President of her Homeowners’ Association and
has served on the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors, Junior Achievement
Big Bend Board of Directors, and the Board of the Tallahassee Urban League. Her passion is
devoted to the League of Women Voters as Board Member and Chair of the Lobby Corps and
Membership Committees. She is an outdoor enthusiast and lifelong environmentalist. A
cherished 2018 milestone was hiking the last 100 Kilometers of the Camino de Santiago in
Spain. She has traveled widely both inside and outside the United States and recognizes and
values the diversity of different cultures and communities.
Trish is an honors graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania and was named to Who’s
Who in American Universities and Colleges and to National Association of Professional
Women’s Women of the Year.
